A few days ago, one man died and another was seriously injured after a car ran a red light at a Riverside intersection. The crash happened early Friday morning at Van Buren Boulevard and Jurupa Avenue. A Ford Focus was going south on Van Buren and ran through a red light as the driver tried to make a left turn on Jurupa.
“As the driver entered the intersection he collided head-on with a silver Hyundai that was traveling north on Van Buren Boulevard,” said the Riverside Police Department.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead soon after the accident. The driver of the Hyundai has moderate injuries.
